Hawthorne Heights pulled into Phoenix for a performance at the Jobing.com Arena

Hot off the 2007 Warped Tour, Hawthorne Heights pulled into Phoenix for an encore performance at the Jobing.com Arena. At the top of their set, lead singer, JT Woodruff invited their fans out of the bleachers and onto the floor where everybody could rock in a more intimate setting.

Their recent album, If Only You Were Lonely has been described as a tour de force. Musically, it tests the limitations of the emo and screamo music genres, adding deeper and darker subtle guitars and a more diverse selection of material.

From the uber-catchy emo tracks they are known for to more metallic offerings and even a piano ballad reminiscent of the Beach Boys, Hawthorne Heights sought to build on the legacy of their debut album and expand from there. Influenced by bands that range from Led Zeppelin to Quicksand to Nirvana, Hawthorne Heights' brand of radiant and fiery post-hardcore is expansive and textural, and their triple guitar attack alone sets them apart from the rest.

"With JT, Casey and Micah all playing guitar," said drummer Eron Bucciarelli, "we can add a lot of layering effects and intricacies to our music along with legitimately pulling in different musical styles."

For their Phoenician fans, Hawthorne Heights performed their hit songs, Saying Sorry, This Is Who We Are and Niki FM, as well as a few previously unreleased tracks from their forthcoming album.
